J2ME Developer

Job Function:

• To work on Development/Porting of client applications.
• To assess mobile devices to determine scope and complexity of application porting effort & work on porting of client-side application code to multiple mobile devices.
• To work on mobile application enhancements including addition of new features and GUI elements as required.
• To work closely with release team to prepare internal builds for release to QA.
• To work closely with QA to resolve bugs or escalate to client development team.

Specifications:

• BE/B.Tech in CS/IT or MCA.
• Should have 3- 5 years of industry experience including 3+ years hands-on development/porting experience in a commercial software development environment using J2ME.
• Should have experience with all phases of product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, specifications, development, test, product release, and sustaining engineering.
• Should be proficient with Object-Oriented design methodology.
• Should have experience in programming dynamic and advanced graphics mobile applications.
• Experience on developing GPS based applications for mobile & on device porting is desirable.
• Familiarity with software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems is preferred.
• Other qualities that are desired in the candidate include excellent verbal and written communication skills, Self-managed proactive work style, Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment & desire to engage in extremely challenging assignments.
• Candidate with Valid B1 visa for 2008 is preferred.
